We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Community Food Hub at Axminster Hospital, a warm, inclusive space where everyone is invited to cook, eat, and connect.
The Food Hub is a vibrant, community-led initiative offering free Community Cook-Along sessions three times a week. It’s a place where anyone can come along, get involved, and enjoy the benefits of preparing and sharing food together.
Location: Axminster Hospital, Chard Street, Axminster
Launch Date: Monday 7th July
When: Every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 10am – 12.30pm
No booking required—just drop in!
Each session is friendly, hands-on, and open to all. You don’t need any prior experience, just a willingness to join in.
Cook: Prepare simple, tasty, low-cost meals together in a relaxed setting
Eat: Sit down and enjoy a shared lunch—you’re welcome to come just for the meal
Connect: Meet new people, make friends, and be part of a supportive local community
This initiative, funded by Devon Community Foundation, is part of our wider mission to support community wellbeing, reduce food insecurity and empower individuals through food and connection
At Project Food, we believe that food is a powerful tool for bringing people together and creating positive change. The Food Hub is a space where everyone is valued and welcome.
“We want everyone to feel welcome,” says Tiggy Parry, CEO of Project Food. “Whether you’re looking to meet new people, improve your wellbeing, or just enjoy a good meal, the Food Hub is here for you.”
We’d love to see you at one of our sessions. Whether you come to cook, eat, or simply connect, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
