Project Food’s collaboration with Abri Homes continues.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our May Half Term Good Grub Club, a fantastic initiative made possible through our collaboration with Abri Homes.

The Good Grub Club was launched by Abri Homes in 2017 with the first sessions being held in Bournemouth. Families can come together to cook, learn about healthy eating, and take home ingredients to recreate the recipes at home. The project has a strong emphasis on helping families put healthy food on the table, especially during school holidays when financial pressures can be more intense.

About Good Grub Club

Healthy Eating: The Good Grub Club promotes low-cost meal ideas that are nutritious and easy to make. This helps families learn more about healthy eating and encourages them to cook together.

Community Connection: The initiative brings families together in safe spaces to cook, learn, and share meals, fostering a sense of community and support.

Adaptability: During the pandemic, the Good Grub Club adapted to a virtual format, delivering recipe boxes to families’ homes and providing cook-along videos. This ensured continued support and engagement despite the challenges.

Financial Relief: By providing recipe boxes with carefully planned ingredients, the Good Grub Club helps relieve financial pressure on families, making it easier for them to prepare nutritious meals at a low cost.

Project Food are proud to collaborate with Abri Homes in delivering the Good Grub Club in Chard and continue to positive impact on the community, helping families to enjoy cooking and eating together while promoting health and well-being.
